“If you are God, your work is to create out of nothing. If you are not God, but like God — that is, if you are human — your work is to take what God has made and shape it and use it to make him look great.”

– John Piper, Don’t Waste Your Life, pg 139

The East Dayton Christian Art Department strives to build our students’ creativity through hands-on, engaging art activities and projects. In the younger grades, students are introduced and engage with many different types of media. As the students grow, they learn to apply these to the elements/principles of art and how they can apply their creativity to a vocation and ultimately to glorify God.

Grades K-8 engages in basic art classes during the week. Grades 9-12 have a wide variety of choices available to them, including High School Art I and II, Visual Design I and II, Photography, Art History, and Yearbook.
